Terms of toxicosis - when it starts and how long it lasts

It is believed that toxicosis necessarily accompanies each pregnancy. Morning nausea, many perceive an integral attribute, as well as the first symptom of what a woman is in position. In fact, everything is very individual. One lady is prescribed remedial treatment to stop severe nausea. Others on the contrary, enduring several children do not know what it is. Today we will talk about the week from which toxicosis begins during pregnancy.

Briefly about the main thing

In fact, carrying a child can pass easily and simply. A woman is happy that she will be small and flourishes day by day. But if the processes of adaptation to a new state are violated, then toxicosis begins during pregnancy. Since what week most often women complain of feeling unwell? About this below. We note just that the phenomenon is very common. When the fetus begins to develop, toxins and substances that provoke poisoning enter the mother's body. After a certain time, adaptation processes are launched, the placenta is switched on and the state is leveled. Now, until the end of the development of the crumbs, the expectant mother feels satisfactory.

Main features

In fact, they can be explicit and hidden. There are those that are difficult to hide from others, they can be attributed to severe nausea, frequent vomiting, salivation. But that is not all. Toxicosis is also manifested by bad mood, severe weakness and drowsiness. Someone notes a strong irritability, sudden weight loss. Knowing what week toxicosis begins during pregnancy, you can prepare yourself for this. In addition, timely preventive measures can reduce its manifestation.

In some cases, toxicosis causes quite strong complications. Increased load on the mother's body provokes the development of dermatosis and dermatitis, manifested in the form of convulsive muscle contractions, softening of bones, jaundice and bronchial asthma.

Origins of the problem

There are statistics that one of two moms develops moderate nausea in the morning. One of the five experiences severe discomfort throughout the day. One in ten of these symptoms continue for a long time. Throughout the first trimester and even later. And what do doctors say? What week does the toxicosis begin with normal pregnancy?

Obstetricians and gynecologists are confident that in this case it should not be at all. That is, nausea and morning vomiting are permissible, but they speak of a conflict between the maternal organism and the fetus. And today, the true causes of toxicosis remain unknown. There are only assumptions that have a grain of truth.

Possible reasons

Each of them can be a primary or secondary for an individual woman. But in any case, the doctor should understand and prescribe correctional methods. Here are the possible reasons for review:

  • Malfunction of the hormonal system. As soon as the embryo is implanted in the wall of the uterus, their production changes. Now the whole body is rebuilt to ensure the functioning of the fetus. This is the answer to the question of how long toxicosis begins in pregnant women. The first signs of a woman may experience without knowing her position. But special substances are already entering the bloodstream, which affects well-being and mood. Appears irritability, touchiness and tearfulness. In addition, the mother's body perceives the baby as a foreign body. So that he does not get rid of the fetus, due to a special mechanism, the work of the immune system is inhibited. It is also closely related to the work of hormones. And consequently, you will endure any cold much harder.
  • Formation of the placenta. Another point of support, which helps to understand at what period begins toxicosis in pregnant women. When an egg is implanted in the uterus, it grows rapidly. In just a couple of weeks, this is already a tiny organism, the natural secretions of which enter directly into the mother’s blood. By about week 12, the placenta is activated. Now she takes on the role of the filter of harmful substances. That is, toxicosis in the first trimester of pregnancy to last just before this period, gradually weakening.
  • Defensive reaction. The future mom feels nauseous from the smell of cigarettes and alcohol, coffee.

Additional factors

In addition to the main, there are a number of parameters that determines the development of toxicosis.

  • Chronic diseases. Not all, but most of them contribute to morning weakness and nausea.
  • Neuropsychic overstrain. That is, stress can greatly worsen the condition of the future mother.
  • Age. As a rule, if this is the first and late pregnancy, then toxicosis appears more intense.
  • Twins or Triplets. Therefore, toxicosis will be two to three times stronger.

How long to wait

If the pregnancy is planned, then the expectant mother often from the first day of the delay is ready to assure everyone that she is sick in the morning. Self-suggestion is, or features of the body, it is difficult to say for sure. Yes, and doctors are quite accurate in their forecasts. Speaking about how long after conception begins toxemia, it should be noted that doctors distinguish two types in terms of its occurrence. That is, early and late.

  • Usually the first one starts from the first days of the delayed menstruation and ends by the beginning of the second trimester. That is, it will be a relief to breathe by the 12th or 13th week. But all women are different, there are no specific limitations and frameworks in this matter.
  • Late toxicosis - he is preeclampsia, begins at the beginning of the last trimester or the end of the second. It is very dangerous for both mother and child. Late toxicosis during pregnancy is a serious disease characterized by pathological changes in the work of the most important systems and organs. Late toxicosis is manifested by vascular disorders and circulatory disorders. It causes hypoxia, changes in brain function, liver and kidneys.

As you can see, it is impossible to unequivocally answer even the simple question in which trimester toxicosis begins. In addition to the above, there are still quite a few subspecies, each of which is characterized by its own characteristics.

  • Staphylococcal toxicosis can be activated by specific strains. Develops a few hours after the contaminated food enters the body. Symptoms - nausea and vomiting. Usually within 12 hours they pass by themselves.
  • Evening toxicosis. Occurs as a result of severe fatigue and inadequate food intake. You can overcome it, if you vary the nutrition and take walks before going to bed.
  • Early toxicosis. It is considered normal. It is impossible to say exactly from what month the toxicosis in pregnant women begins. But usually the implantation of the egg occurs 14 days after fertilization. Within a week or two, a woman may feel symptoms of toxemia. That is, usually the first time nausea appears by the end of the first month. Just when many begin to guess their position.
  • Late toxicosis. In this case, analyzes show protein in the urine, high blood pressure and weight gain of more than 400 g per week.
  • Toxicosis before the first delay of menstruation. In rare cases, nausea appears immediately after conception. That is, when it is too early to talk about the development of the fetus as such.

How to deal with nausea

It is impossible to say for sure how long toxicosis in pregnant women lasts. Someone says that only a couple of times he felt nauseous in the morning, others remember the endless nightmare. It brings unpleasant sensations, but nothing can be done. As a course for a young soldier in the army. But there are simple recommendations that will help alleviate the condition.

  • You need to eat regularly, in small portions. Allowing overeating or skipping lunch is not recommended. It is on an empty stomach that mommy becomes ill.
  • It is best to have breakfast without getting out of bed, and a little more to lie down after a meal. To do this, just in the evening put a banana next to the bed or unsweetened yogurt.
  • You can not overeat, no matter how much you want something more tasty.
  • Exclude fried, smoked, salty, spicy.
  • Sharp movements, high physical exertion - this should now be avoided.
  • More often in the fresh air. Walking promotes good appetite.
  • No wonder new mothers are pulling sour. This is a great remedy for nausea.

If nothing helps and the expectant mother still suffers, you need to contact your doctor. He will prescribe a course of drugs that will correct her condition. This may be "Zerukal", which affects the work of the entire digestive system, blocking the reduction of tissues, which lead to vomiting. Additionally, sorbents are introduced that will absorb toxins.

When to wait for relief

Terms in any case are individual. Most often the first time nausea will visit for a period of about 1 month. But it also happens that only to week 9 began toxicosis. It can also be considered early. Most often, by the 12-14 week they forget about him, the second trimester is not for nothing called the “golden period”. Late toxicosis usually does not go away by itself, but requires specialized treatment. In any case, if the expectant mother feels unwell, she needs the help of a specialist. Only a doctor can assess her condition and take action.

Signs of first toxicosis

Nausea and vomiting are the most frequently diagnosed signs in pregnant women with intoxication at different times. In addition to this manifestation of toxicosis, the symptoms may be as follows:

  • intolerance to certain products, especially their odors,
  • skin rash and itching
  • temperature rise,
  • the appearance of edema,
  • disorders of the kidneys and liver.

Usually at 3-4 weeks of pregnancy there is discomfort associated with the development of aversion to certain products and smells emitted by them. From one of their kind, and even a slight smell, the woman begins to stir. Habitual foods cause a negative reaction, for example, very often a woman feels sick and tears from sweets during pregnancy.

Another distinctive feature of toxemia is a change in taste preferences, sometimes quite sharp. Conversely, unusual foods cause an irresistible desire to eat them immediately. All this is due to the constant changes in the hormonal balance in the female body, which last the entire pregnancy.

The causes of toxicosis have not yet been thoroughly studied, to their reasons, doctors include many factors, ranging from hereditary and ending with the exacerbation of chronic diseases during pregnancy.

Modern medicine considers toxicosis a widespread pathology, as it affects about 60% of all women in an interesting position.

The complete absence of any unpleasant feelings for the expectant mother in the period of carrying the child is the norm, and not accidental luck.

The timing and severity of toxicosis

Modern medicine classifies toxicosis in terms of occurrence in the early and late.

  1. Early toxicosis. Usually it starts from 3-4, but sometimes it can start from the first week of pregnancy, from the first days of the delay (less than 10% of cases), the toxicosis ends on average by 10-12 weeks. At the initial stage of pregnancy, the woman begins to feel sick, and the peak of toxemia usually falls on periods of 4-8 weeks. In the early period of the occurrence of toxemia is diagnosed in 60-65% of women.
  2. Late toxicosis. It develops either at the end of the second trimester, or at the beginning of the third, it is about 26 - 28 weeks. Sometimes it ends quickly, and in some cases can last up to delivery (up to 40 weeks). It is late toxicosis that is especially dangerous because it increases the likelihood of developing preeclampsia, which endangers the life and health of a woman.

On the question of how long toxicosis in pregnant women lasts, there is no definite answer, there are only some average indicators that the obstetrician-gynecologist relies on when determining the severity of the patient's condition. On average, from the onset of toxemia to its end, it takes from a few weeks to 1.5 months. If this condition lasts longer, there is reason to think about the development of pathology.

What is dangerous toxicosis

In total, there are 3 degrees of toxicity - mild, moderate and severe.

  1. Mild: causes discomfort, discomfort, bouts of nausea and vomiting several times a day, but the condition of the woman is generally satisfactory, and the weight loss does not exceed 3 kg.
  2. Medium: nausea attacks haunt a pregnant woman on average 10-15 times a day, food intake does not save them, and in weight she loses more than 3 kg in 2 weeks. In this case, the probability of dehydration is great, because with the vomit the body loses a large amount of water.
  3. Severe: nausea and vomiting practically do not stop, the woman can neither eat nor drink, ordinary water causes severe vomiting. This is fraught with significant loss of body weight, and the likelihood of not only dehydration, but also the development of osteomalacia (softening of the bones due to lack of calcium and phosphorus) increases.

As already noted, toxicosis itself is a deviation from the norm, but its late variety in severe course is especially dangerous. Therefore, if a woman begins to feel very sick during pregnancy between the end of the second and the third trimester, an urgent need to consult a doctor to exclude from the causes of preeclampsia. Gestosis is a serious condition characterized by the following manifestations:

  • increase in blood pressure to a critical level as a result of vascular spasms,
  • violation of the kidneys, the appearance of edema,
  • depression of the liver,
  • development of eclampsia.

The insidiousness of preeclampsia lies in the fact that it begins to develop without pronounced symptomatology and is revealed only by the results of laboratory tests, but can affect the condition of the fetus, up to perinatal death. That is why physicians attach such importance to monitoring the health of expectant mothers. From the second half of pregnancy, their visits to the doctor and testing are weekly, and blood pressure measurement should be daily.

But not only the development of preeclampsia can significantly harm the health of the pregnant woman, all the severity of toxicosis in one degree or another harm the woman.

How to cope with nausea

Nausea and vomiting in any month of pregnancy is an indisposition that I would like to get rid of rather quickly. The easiest way to cope with morning nausea, which is usually due to the fact that overnight in the body accumulated a significant amount of decomposition products - metabolic waste and various toxins. Salvation can be drunk in the morning without getting out of bed, a glass of pure water.

Also, many experienced women in the evening leave next to the bed some snack. This may be a fruit, a handful of nuts that can eliminate the morning attack of nausea.

In general, an attack of nausea can occur suddenly at any time, so it is advisable to always have a bottle of water and a small snack with you.

The following products can also help in the fight against toxicosis, but provided that they are not allergic to:

  • lemon (and all citrus),
  • cranberry (or cranberry juice),
  • lingonberry,
  • sauerkraut (but not too salty) cabbage.

Salted cucumbers are a controversial product, as excess salt in the diet leads to malfunction of the kidneys, the appearance of edema and high blood pressure.

It should be remembered that if such a condition in a woman continues in the second half of pregnancy and its symptoms worsen, an urgent need to consult a doctor, because the time has come to combat toxicosis with drugs. In no case can not self-medicate, it can only aggravate the situation.

Preventive measures

Usually, in the absence of complications, toxicosis occurs and passes fairly quickly. Not only when the time comes for the greatest likelihood of developing toxicosis, but also long before conception, doctors advise starting preparations for pregnancy. This is a set of measures aimed at improving health, enhancing the body's defenses, changing lifestyle and nutrition.

If you follow the basic recommendations for a healthy lifestyle, you can not only bring the end of toxicosis closer or ease its course, but also avoid such conditions altogether. The recommendations are quite simple:

  • balanced diet,
  • taking vitamin complexes for pregnant women,
  • walks in the open air,
  • physical activity (gymnastics, yoga, swimming),
  • sleep for at least 8 hours a day,
  • refusal of bad habits (smoking, alcohol).

Review diet and discard the following foods:

  • smoked meat
  • high fat foods
  • spicy seasonings
  • canned food, especially salted,

Of the methods of cooking, one should prefer cooking, stewing or baking; this will reduce the consumption of fat.The menu should be nutritious and balanced, contain enough fresh vegetables, fruits, lean meat and fish.

Special attention should be paid to the psycho-emotional state of women during pregnancy. Frequent changes of mood, unreasonable tears and excessive emotionality - all this happens due to permanent hormonal changes in the entire female body. That is why in the daily routine of a pregnant woman, physical activity should be combined with proper rest.

If a woman during pregnancy will follow the rules of a healthy lifestyle and follow all the recommendations of her doctor, then with a high probability of manifestation of toxicosis will be either insignificant or short-lived.

When does toxicosis begin?

What week begins with toxicosis, individually for each pregnancy. But nevertheless, some patterns were observed that help to highlight periods when the probability of poor health is highest.

Depending on how long the toxicosis begins, there are two such options:

  1. Early. It occurs in the first trimester, most often at 5–6 weeks after conception. But occasionally signs of toxicosis can begin even earlier. The majority of pregnant women face this condition, because it often appears during the safe course of pregnancy. But it is better not to refuse the help of a doctor, since the signs of a missed abortion (when the fetus dies in the early stages of development) may also appear.
  2. Late toxicosis or preeclampsia. Occurs in the third trimester. He says that there may be problems with the health of the mother or the child. But this is not a reason for panic, as with timely access to a good doctor, correction and stabilization of the condition is possible. In this case, after treatment, everything will end very well.

But toxicosis is an optional companion of approaching motherhood, as many believe. In our time, it happens to many, but still there are cases when it is not. Therefore, if you are pregnant, but you feel good at any time of the day, you do not need to worry that something is wrong with you.

Simply, most likely, you have good health, the body easily copes with a double load, the child has enough nutrients and oxygen, there is no threat of termination of pregnancy.

When toxicosis, as can be seen from the name of this condition, the future mother's body is in a state of intoxication. It is very similar in appearance to the usual poisoning, but it is different for reasons. Toxicosis manifested by such symptoms:

  • Nausea, especially in the morning after eating.
  • Vomiting (frequency depends on the severity of toxicosis).
  • Irritability, frequent mood swings.
  • Always want to sleep.
  • Bad appetite.
  • Salivation.
  • A skin rash that is very itchy may appear.
  • Changing taste.
  • Weight decreases.
  • Bones become softer and more fragile, which increases the risk of fractures.

The signs listed above may be present for any toxicosis. But with late toxicosis or preeclampsia, which occurs in the seventh month or later, additional symptoms appear.

Signs of preeclampsia (except for the symptoms listed above):

  • Swelling on the face, legs, sometimes hands. Most of all they can be seen in the morning. Sometimes the swelling is so pronounced that it can give a false weight gain.
  • Blood pressure rises, often to numbers that never existed before pregnancy.
  • If you pass a complete urinalysis, it will be detected protein. They may hurt a little or “whine” the kidneys.

The appearance of edema, back pain, increased pressure in the second half of pregnancy should be urgently addressed to the hospital. They will prescribe the correct treatment at home or put in a hospital for preservation.

If you do not treat the causes of preeclampsia, they can lead to a premature termination of pregnancy with serious consequences for the health and sometimes the life of the child and his mother.

To avoid such a situation, you need to carefully treat your condition and follow the instructions of doctors regarding examinations and mode of life.

Toxicosis in different women manifests itself in different ways. If one woman has a slight nausea in the morning, and the rest of the day goes quite well, for another she can seem like a nightmare around the clock, from which there is no salvation for a minute.

Accordingly, assistance in such cases requires different. Therefore, criteria were formulated by which it is possible to determine the severity of toxicosis and whether there is a threat to health in this situation.

According to these criteria, there are three levels of toxicity:

  1. Easy: nausea is not very strongly felt, vomiting happens no more than 3 times a day or there is no emetic urge at all, weight is reduced by no more than 3 kg in a fortnight, otherwise there are no problems with the general condition.
  2. Medium: severe nausea, vomiting daily, but not more than 10 times, weight in two weeks drops a little more than 3 kg, constant weakness is felt, blood pressure can decrease (with early toxicosis).
  3. Severe: nauseous all the time, the urge to vomit is very strong, vomiting about 25 times a day, weight decreases by 10 or more kilograms, pulse quickens, body temperature rises. In this case, you can not pull time - this condition is a direct indication for referring to an obstetrician-gynecologist, who must immediately appoint an examination and treatment.

Knowing how unpleasant the state of toxemia is, everyone wants to avoid it and carry out the child without additional problems. For this it is necessary to eliminate all the factors that could cause it. Why does toxicosis come?

Unfortunately, no one can give this complete answer to this question. But there are many theories that are built on observations of the cases in which toxicosis develops most often and at what time this happens.

The most likely causes of toxicosis:

  • Hormonal changes that occur in a woman's body after conceiving a child. The level of many hormones changes dramatically and this affects the metabolic processes. Not every organism can immediately adapt and start working in a completely different way.
  • Inadequate or improper nutrition. In order to grow, the baby needs vitamins, minerals, proteins and other nutrients. If they do not come with food, they are taken from the maternal organism. When a woman is constantly undernourished, her body and child are both depleted, both feel bad.
  • The need to work "for two." Besides the fact that the growth of the child requires nutrients, it also highlights the products of metabolic processes. They are toxic, and therefore must be excreted from the body. But from the body of the fetus, they fall into the bloodstream of the mother. 13–14 weeks after conception, a placenta forms, which takes over the regulation of metabolic processes and the hormonal level necessary for the growth of the child. But before that there is no special organ, and the body has to face a high content of toxins in it. As soon as the placenta was formed, it began to fully function, toxicosis disappears or decreases.
  • Chronic diseases. In chronic diseases the body is weakened, it does not always cope with the usual load. What then to talk about double?
  • Stress. It has been observed that late toxicosis is more common in women, who are very nervous during pregnancy. If conception was unplanned, the very fact of future motherhood can alarm a woman. A significant role is played by the conviction that toxicosis must necessarily develop - the power of self-suggestion begins to act. Therefore, remember: pregnancy without toxicosis is possible, and you need to tune yourself to exactly this option.
  • Multiple pregnancy. When the fetus is not one, the mother's body needs more resources so that everything runs smoothly.
  • Hereditary predisposition The risk of toxicosis is higher for those whose mother and grandmother were constantly faced with this problem.
  • Too early or late age. When the body is not yet fully formed or is already aging, it is more difficult for it to cope with the additional load.
  • Bad habits. Cigarettes, alcohol, drugs spoil the health of both mother and child. It is not surprising that this can lead to very serious problems with the well-being of both.

When does toxicosis end?

Every woman who feels the above unpleasant symptoms, I want to know how long this unpleasant condition lasts when it ends.

It is very difficult in advance, when the toxicosis is just beginning, to say how soon it will pass. It all happens in different ways. For some, this unpleasant period ends by itself. For example, early toxicosis is often without any intervention takes place at 13-14 weeks. Others need medical assistance. Occasionally, well-being is restored only after childbirth.

If you are faced with a problem of severe pregnancy, try to worry less about it, cooperate with doctors and remember that after all this your dear baby will be with you.

How long does toxicosis occur?

The body of each woman is unique and individual. Each subsequent pregnancy may occur in different ways. Someone does not face the problem of toxicity in general. And someone signs appear on the first day of the delay. Sometimes, the future mom receives the first “bell” in the form of nausea or discomfort without even realizing the true cause of the illness.

Toxicosis occurs only in the first trimester of pregnancy.

During this period, subject to the presence of a mild degree, toxicosis is considered physiological. If the state of health does not improve during the whole pregnancy, and especially the last trimester, you need to sound the alarm.

What changes in the body of a woman lead to the emergence of toxicosis:

Gonadotropin levels, which are responsible for producing progesterone in early pregnancy, are rising. Synthesis of placental lactogen can also lead to poor health.

A certain hormonal imbalance occurs in the body. The level of some hormones is growing, the synthesis of others slows down.

In the first 3 months, the placenta is absent in the child, so all decay products enter the mother’s body, and they are known to be toxins.

The immune system of a woman can perceive the cells of the child as an “alien” organism, which subsequently leads to miscarriage.

How long does toxicosis last?

After 3 months, the placenta completely finishes its formation and begins to fully cope with its responsibilities, and the products of exchange do not poison the maternal blood. This organ plays an important hormone-generating, respiratory, endocrine and trophic functions. Their violation can also lead to toxicosis.

During the first three months of pregnancy, the work of the endocrine glands is getting better, the hormonal balance calms down. If this process comes to a physiological norm, the toxicosis ends. If any of the hormones does not stop at the correct indicator, the suffering of the future mother may be delayed.

After the formation of the placenta, the mother's T-lymphocytes no longer treat the fetus as an enemy. During pregnancy, immunosuppression occurs. After birth, it ends, and immunity returns to baseline.

Much depends on the degree of toxicosis:

A mild degree implies a slight indisposition in the morning. The urge to vomit rarely ends with vomiting. Faints are absent. Changing taste preferences. Appetite reduced. There may be a slight weight loss.

The average degree is characterized by deterioration of health throughout the day. Vomiting can be up to 7-8 times a day. The pressure goes down. Heart rhythm disturbances may occur. Possible weight loss, lack of appetite.

A severe degree is characterized by repeated vomiting, dermatosis, loss of consciousness, and sudden jumps in pressure. The body is dehydrated and acetone may appear in the urine. Such a course of toxemia requires medical intervention and treatment.

Normally, toxicosis continues until the end of 3, mid-4 months. Although it is very individual. Then the body adapts to the changes that have occurred, and the manifestations of toxicosis disappear on their own. The second trimester is the calmest of all.

    How long is toxicosis?

If after the onset of 13 weeks of pregnancy does not pass nausea, vomiting, fainting continues, you must inform your doctor. The fact is that a disease completely unrelated to it can be disguised as toxicosis. It may be necessary to conduct additional examinations.

With an increase in the duration of pregnancy, the discomfort should disappear: an emetic reaction to odors, fainting, hypotension. If this does not happen - we can talk about late toxicosis.

Early toxicosis is a physiological process, and late toxicosis is a pathology. It is more prone to women who have chronic heart, liver and kidney diseases. So, when the lumen of the vessels narrows, the fluid is retained in the body, a violation of lymphatic drainage occurs. Edemas appear.

Pathological toxicosis, or preeclampsia, is manifested by the following symptoms:

    Increased blood pressure.

Changes in blood and urine formula.

    Disorders of the cardiovascular system.

    Malfunction of the internal organs.

If all or several indicators are present, the pregnant woman is examined and prescribed a course of treatment, since these conditions can lead to serious complications of the pregnancy, and become a threat to the life of the child. With inpatient or outpatient treatment, properly selected therapy, the manifestations of toxicosis can be completely or partially eliminated. If toxicosis reaches a preeclampsic or eclampic level, the question of early termination of pregnancy may arise, since these conditions can threaten not only the life of the baby, but also the mother. Therefore, one exact answer to the question of how long the toxicosis takes place cannot be given.

Nature made sure that the pregnancy proceeded as safely and naturally as possible. For this purpose, complex and coordinated mechanisms are set in motion. Toxicosis, with all its uncomfortable manifestations is one of the important factors for the preservation of pregnancy.

    Symptoms of early toxicosis

The classic manifestation of the disease is the state of nausea, which occurs most often in the morning and is not always accompanied by vomiting. It is on this basis that, in the presence of a menstruation delay, our grandmothers determined an “interesting position”.

Other symptoms of early toxicosis, which in most cases are associated with nausea, are:

    • pathological drowsiness during the day while maintaining the norm of night sleep,
    • Ptyalism (intense drooling, leading to dehydration. During the day, a persistent feeling of fullness in its saliva persists in the mouth, prompting it to spit constantly),
    • heightened odor response. Aromas that were previously common during the period of toxicosis become intolerable,
    • increase in acidity of the stomach,
    • general weakness of the body.

Separately, vomiting should be identified - this symptom qualifies the severity of early toxicosis:

In pregnant women, vomiting can occur spontaneously, without regard to food intake or the action of external stimuli. Some expectant mothers tear even from a sip of water.

    Characteristics of mild early toxicosis:

    • vomiting is not more than 5 times a day,
    • general condition improves immediately after the release of vomit,
    • vomiting does not occur immediately after eating,
    • weight remains normal (normal weight loss is up to 5% of the total mass).

The average degree of toxicosis is characterized by more frequent vomiting (5 to 15 times a day), while the process becomes painful, accompanied by prolonged muscle spasms. With a moderate degree, there is dehydration caused by excessive salivation. Also, the average degree is fraught with tangible weight loss (from 5 to 15%) of body weight - this is due to the fact that consumed products do not have time to digest. Lack of nutrients can have a very negative impact on the development of the fetus, because it is in the first trimester that the active formation of vital organs begins. Therefore, with a moderate degree of toxicosis, infusion therapy is recommended to compensate for the nutrient balance.

Hospitalization is not always required - if the condition is not complicated by other symptoms, a daily dropper is enough.

With severe early toxicosis, a woman is prompted to wrest literally every half hour. Eating becomes impossible because the body does not absorb even the liquid. In this case, immediate expectation of the expectant mother is required to preserve the pregnancy. Along with infusion therapy, drugs that suppress the irritability of the digestive tract are used to alleviate the symptoms of severe toxicosis.

In the risk group of severe toxemia, women who have suffered from acute or chronic diseases of the digestive system, who were ill, treated before conception, before pregnancy.

    Undercurrent Toxicosis: Theories and Facts

Despite the huge amount of research, scientists have not yet decided to identify the exact cause of the occurrence of early toxicosis. There are several hypotheses, one way or another explaining the background of this state:

Hormonal theory is based on the action on the body of the future mother of hormones that have not previously been developed in it. In particular, it is human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the amount of which grows exponentially in the first weeks of pregnancy when the fetal membrane is formed. When the placenta is fully formed, the hormone hCG ceases to be a foreign element in the body - usually this happens at 12-14 weeks (for most women, by this time, the symptoms of toxicosis fade or disappear completely). Until this time, the body perceives this hormone as a poison and fights it in all possible ways. Another hormone actively produced in the first trimester is progesterone. It is present in the body before pregnancy, but in much smaller quantities.

Psychological theory explains the emergence of toxicosis by the body's reaction to negative emotions that the expectant mother subconsciously experiences. After all, besides the joy of realizing the approaching motherhood, a woman is visited by a whole bunch of phobias: fear of giving birth, fear of a stalled pregnancy, fear of being helpless, losing a job, etc. According to psychological theory, the body struggles with stress, trying to influence their source, namely the fetus. Toxicosis in this case is a protective reaction of the mother's body.

The essence of the immune theory is similar to hormonal, only in this case, the body considers alien not individual hormones, but the entire fetus. The mother’s immune system triggers the processes responsible for the onset of symptoms of early toxicosis.

How to cope with the inconvenience: recommendations for nutrition and not only

Toxicosis is a temporary phenomenon, but this does not mean that one should stoically endure all inconveniences and wait for the cherished 12 weeks. To alleviate its course, and in individual cases it is possible to completely remove all symptoms, if you follow a number of simple recommendations. First of all, they are related to the nature of the food of the future mother.

    1. Eat only what the body takes. There is no list of products recommended in early pregnancy to all without exception! Some pregnant women absorb apples in kilograms, while others cannot look at them without nausea. The criterion for assessing the usefulness of a product should be the body's response to its appearance and smell. No need to absorb food through force - it only provokes another attack of vomiting. But at the same time exclude from the menu products that traditionally provoke nausea - these are fatty, spicy, smoked, sweetened dishes.
    2. Small portions - your salvation. Peristalsis of the digestive tract during pregnancy changes, it is difficult for them to cope with the usual portions of food. Therefore, even after a short snack, there is a feeling of complete saturation. The daily diet is better to divide at least 6 receptions. You can forget about the diet at this time - take food as soon as you get hungry, even if previously the food after 6 was taboo.
    3. Maintain water balance. In a state of mild nausea, you usually do not want to drink, but the daily 1.5 liter the body needs to put it. Liquid is desirable to use. To maintain balance it was easier, diversify drinks - during the day, drink water, juices, teas, fruit drinks, so that there is no aversion to something specific.
    4. Often, the particular discomfort causes morning sickness, combined with dizziness - after all, overnight the body has consumed energy and weakened. To reduce these unpleasant feelings, do not get out of bed without a morning "exercise" in the form of galetny cookies or crackers with warm tea. You should eat him reclining without getting out of bed, and then lie down for another 15-20 minutes. During this time, the digestive tract will begin to work and the feeling of nausea will disappear.
    5. During the day, mint lollipops or dredges like “Tik-Tak” will help to deal with nausea attacks. They can be replaced with slices of citrus or crackers.
    6. "Feeding" vitamins. Appointment of vitamin complexes during pregnancy is not at all fashionable. Far from all of women, even before toxicosis, consume the right amount of vitamins and trace elements necessary to ensure a full-fledged metabolism. What to say about the period of toxemia, when only some of its food is absorbed from the food taken during the day? Especially in the early stages of fetal development, folic acid deficiency (vitamin B9).

In addition to compliance with the recommendations on nutrition, with early toxicosis, it is important to maintain physical activity (if there are no contraindications). Intensive loads, if practiced before pregnancy, are best replaced by long walks in the fresh air.

    If toxicosis ended suddenly ...

The abrupt cessation of the symptoms of early preeclampsia before the end of the first trimester often causes anxiety, and even panic. Mother's forums add fuel to the fire, where homegrown experts “authoritatively” classify the abrupt end of toxicosis as a frozen pregnancy. In fact, in such cases, it is characterized by a gradual extinction of symptoms - the shell of the already dead fetus continues to produce hormones for some time that act on the body as stimuli. And the fast-paced relief is often only a break between the production of the next portion of hormones and after a while the signs of toxicosis will again make themselves felt.

If anxiety does not let go, it is wise to visit the doctor leading your pregnancy - even if it is not planned. Usually, he prescribes a blood test for the hormone hCG in dynamics - compared to its performance with the norm of a certain week, it is possible to determine the vital activity of the fetus. Particularly suspicious can make an unscheduled ultrasound and check the heartbeat lump of life.

Toxicosis: how, when and why. Symptoms, causes and terms

If you give a simple definition of what toxicosis is, the answer will be: this is the body's response to the harmful substances that form in the woman’s body as a new life develops inside her. Often this condition is confused with poisoning. This is facilitated by 2 reasons:

    • the main symptoms of toxemia are nausea and vomiting, typical of situations “something has not eaten”,
    • toxicosis occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy. As a rule, by this time, the woman still does not know about her “interesting position”, therefore she writes off indisposition to stale products, tiredness, etc.

Usually, the unpleasant sensations begin to alarm the future mother at 5-6 weeks, but it happens even earlier: everything is individual. Some women note that the signs of toxemia appeared from the very first week of pregnancy. In addition to nausea and vomiting:

    • excessive salivation,
    • diarrhea or, on the contrary, constipation,
    • skin rashes,

    • puffiness
    • drowsiness,
    • increased fatigue
    • change in body weight
    • irritability,
    • decrease or lack of appetite
    • a different perception of tastes, smells, sounds, different from the usual.

Attention! Toxicosis, which manifests itself in the first trimester of pregnancy, is called early. Accordingly, it happens and late.

The body of a pregnant woman is rebuilt and is preparing for long-term childbearing. Therefore, hormonal changes occur in it, the metabolism is changing. There are factors that not only increase the likelihood of toxicosis, but also provoke various complications. Women at risk are those who:

    • have problems with immunity, gastrointestinal tract, liver, thyroid gland,
    • suffer from chronic ailments
    • smoke and drink alcohol regularly
    • eat wrong
    • physically tired
    • live under stress or are in constant nervous tension.

Among the reasons for which toxicosis occurs, there are such:

    1. Heredity. It turns out that genetic predisposition also plays a role.
    2. Bearing 2 or more babies. The load on the body increases, so toxicosis is often inevitable.
    3. Protection. The body rejects harmful substances that can harm a child, getting into the body of his mother. For example, women are often sick of the smell or type of caffeinated products, tobacco smoke, etc.
    4. Psychological factor. Many expectant mothers are suspicious, so they tune themselves into nausea.

How is toxicosis and how long it lasts

Doctors attribute the onset of symptoms of toxemia to the defensive reaction of a developing baby. It is believed that in this way he signals the mother about any problems. Often, this complication depends on the lifestyle of the woman. "Aggravating" factors - smoking, frequent fatigue, etc.

But there are real lucky people who do not suffer from toxicosis at all. Some of them think this is wrong, because the stereotype of "all pregnant women necessarily nauseous" is very popular. However, if the expectant mother feels great, and in the first trimester of pregnancy does not face unpleasant symptoms, these are only positive signs:

    • a woman is not threatened with miscarriage,
    • she is completely healthy
    • a small body has enough nutrients for full development.

Attention! If a woman leads a healthy lifestyle, the likelihood that during pregnancy, she will overcome toxicosis, decreases.

The mere presence or absence of signs of intoxication of the body during gestation of a baby does not necessarily indicate any pathology. It is important to pay attention to how this condition passes. Therefore, it is customary to distinguish several stages:

    1. Easy Gagging arises up to 5 times a day. Usually - after a meal. A woman loses weight, but only slightly.
    2. Average. Vomiting - up to 10 times a day, regardless of nutrition. There is a weakness, pressure decreases. Need a doctor's control.
    3. Heavy Attacks of vomiting - up to 25 times a day. A pregnant woman loses weight abruptly, her body weight may decrease by 10 kg. Observed dehydration, increased heart rate, general deterioration of health. This form of toxicosis is dangerous for both the fetus and the mother. Without special treatment can not do.

Help the body during toxicosis. How long does it end

If a woman suffers from toxicosis, medications and physiotherapy exercises can alleviate her condition. Do not self-medicate, it is better to trust the doctor. However, there are simple recommendations that will work if the malaise is mild:

    • eat often, but in small portions,
    • chew well
    • Do not eat too hot or very cold dishes,
    • walk outside more, air the rooms
    • in the morning drink a glass of cool water
    • after waking up do not get up abruptly out of bed. First eat a slice of bread, biscuits or some dried fruit.

Attention! The use of folk remedies for toxemia (for example, the use of honey or ginger root, decoctions of various herbs) is also discussed with your doctor.

The end of toxicosis is associated with the completion of the formation of the placenta. This can occur at 13-14 weeks of pregnancy, and may last up to 15-16 weeks. As a rule, toxicosis "leaves" unnoticed. After this, the 2nd trimester begins, which many women call "golden." Nausea no longer torments, heartburn and back pain, characteristic of the last months of pregnancy, not yet, and the mood is good.

However, sometimes expectant mothers suffer from toxemia in the middle or end of pregnancy. Bad health on such terms is called preeclampsia and is considered a pathology that is dangerous for mother and baby. Late toxicosis most susceptible to women with chronic diseases of the kidneys, liver and heart. In such cases, you must constantly be under the supervision of a physician. Competent treatment and the responsible attitude of the future mother to her health in most cases help her keep the pregnancy and give birth to a healthy baby.

When does toxicosis in pregnancy begin and end

Terms of toxicosis are very individual and depend on the health of each woman. The first trimester of pregnancy may be complicated by early toxicosis and the nausea and vomiting associated with it. The last trimester is dangerous for the development of late toxicosis.
Toxicosis is a complex of body reactions to violations of the normal process of pregnancy. For the sake of justice, it is worth noting that most pregnant women face varying degrees of their symptoms. And such manifestations as nausea and vomiting, acquired the status of classic signs of pregnancy.

The nature of toxicosis is multidimensional. The body's reaction to the development of a new life in it comes from the nervous system, from the immune system. The hormonal background is changing, and the work of the internal organs is radically changed.

    Early toxicosis

Most expectant mothers and those women who are just planning a pregnancy are wondering how long the toxicosis begins and when it ends. Usually the first signs of pathology appear at the time of the delay of menstruation. During this period, the body undergoes hormonal adjustment. The level of progesterone increases, which is responsible for the safety of pregnancy throughout all 9 months. Progesterone has a relaxing effect on the uterus, reducing its muscle tone. A side effect of this process is reduced tone and slowing down of the organs of the gastrointestinal tact.

At this point, a woman may for the first time experience morning sickness and even vomiting. In addition, increased salivation is quite common. Toxicosis dates of beginning and ending is dependent on the body of each specific woman. The duration and severity of the pathology is directly related to the lifestyle and state of health of the woman.

There is no single answer to the question of how long toxicosis during pregnancy lasts. We can only say that in most cases it all starts at 4-5 week. That is, about the moment when it becomes known that the pregnancy has come. Ends early toxicosis by the time stabilized hormones. This usually occurs at 12-14 weeks of pregnancy.

If toxicosis lasts more than 10 weeks, that is, it continues to disturb women after 15 weeks of pregnancy, this is a clear reason to go to a doctor.

How to deal with the symptoms of toxemia and how to behave

Many believe that nature does nothing for nothing. Any manifestation of toxicosis can serve as a signal that something needs to be changed. If a pregnant woman has a mild toxemia, it will be possible to smooth out its manifestations by correcting the lifestyle and diet.

Undoubted benefit to the unborn child and a significant reduction in discomfort will ensure the restoration of normal blood flow. To do this, you must allocate daily time for physical activity in the fresh air. Both factors are important here - fresh air and movement. The blood will circulate more actively, become saturated with oxygen and properly provide nutrition not only for the unborn child, but also for all the organs of the future mother.

Intestinal peristalsis will naturally increase and appetite will appear. Toxicosis in the early stages indicates which products are now necessary for the body, and which will bring harm. Usually nausea attacks cause fast-food from stores, fried, spicy. Toxicosis in pregnant women also naturally helps to determine the diet. It may be preferable to eat in small portions. Someone's morning nausea will make you eat an apple without getting out of bed, and for someone gymnastics (if there is no threat of termination of pregnancy) or a walk in the fresh air before breakfast will be the best solution.

It is important for a woman to always remember that the well-being of her unborn child depends entirely on her well-being. This is especially important in the first weeks of pregnancy, when all the organs and systems of the future baby are formed. At this stage, any failures are too expensive. That is why it is necessary to pay attention not so much to the symptoms of toxemia, as to follow the general condition of the body. If, against the background of early toxicosis, there is a complete loss of appetite, weight loss, the woman feels constant fatigue and craving for sleep - this is a reason not only to change habits, but also to immediately consult a doctor.

Toxicosis on the way - the time to start the disease

The manifestations of the disease called toxicosis occur completely spontaneously. Negative symptoms can bypass pregnancy at all - many women have never experienced nausea over the entire period of the child's birth. But, nevertheless, more than half of future mothers will know all the "charms" of toxicosis in the early stages.

It is difficult to unambiguously answer the question when toxemia begins during pregnancy - the timing of toxic manifestations are purely individual.

According to medical statistics, there are several periods of toxicosis. Among them are 4 main ones:

    1. Until confirmation of pregnancy - a woman in a position can begin to feel sick even before the appearance of two strips on the test, a day or two before the delay of the next menstrual period (26-35 day of the cycle),
    2. In the first weeks of pregnancy - early toxicosis often haunts a pregnant woman from 4-5 weeks of an interesting situation, especially if the firstborn is expected. Нередко состояние общего недомогания в этот период является следствием гормональной перестройки организма,
    3. Со второго месяца беременности - in most cases, the symptoms of toxemia in women begin to gain momentum from this date (7-8 weeks of pregnancy) and last until the first screening,
    4. Late toxicosis - called preeclampsia, occurs in the last trimester of pregnancy, is considered a serious complication and requires close medical supervision.

Signs of toxicosis in pregnant women

It is believed that the main signs of toxemia in a pregnant woman are the daily urge to vomit and sudden nausea. But in addition to these phenomena, there are still many reactions of the woman’s body to the pathological condition - toxicosis. The most common manifestations of the disease with an approximate description of the possible severity can be found in the table.

Table of the main symptoms of toxicosis

Toxicosis can manifest itself in several forms, from mild to severe, and each of them is characterized by certain characteristics:

    • Mild toxic effects - rejection of odors, slight nausea after waking up, increased salivation, slight urge to vomit (without vomiting itself or up to 2 times / day).
    • Moderate toxic effects - nausea during the day, vomiting 3-5 times a day, dizziness, feeling unwell, many smells provoke an episode of nausea.
    • Severe toxic effects - vomiting more than 6 times a day, low blood pressure, fainting, a complete lack of appetite, a significant weight loss, signs of dehydration.

4 causes of toxicosis in pregnant

The true underlying cause of "pregnant" toxicosis, despite numerous studies, was not found in medicine. There are only theories on the basis of which it can be assumed for what reason women begin toxicosis after conception.

    Hormonal theory

Rapidly progressive toxicosis can be a reaction of the body to a large-scale hormonal rearrangement, which begins simultaneously with the appearance of a new organ - the placenta. When the peak of hCG content in the blood reaches its peak, the severity of toxicosis. Especially this moment is felt by mothers with multiple pregnancies.

    Hereditary theory

Toxicosis can be transmitted "by inheritance" - it is this thought that is taken as the basis of the hereditary (or genetic) theory. If the relatives in the female line all pregnancies were complicated by toxic manifestations, then, with a high probability, this fate awaits the pregnant woman now.

    Immune theory

This theory considers the situation of how toxicosis begins in a pregnant woman as a result of the body's production of antibodies to intrauterine life, perceived as foreign tissue.

    Psychogenic theory

Under this hypothesis, the physical condition of the future mother may deteriorate due to the constant feeling of negative emotions, anxiety, fear, experiences, fears for the life and health of the future child.

A small note from the mother about the time of onset of toxicosis and its possible manifestations during pregnancy:

The main ways to combat manifestations of toxemia

What else can you do to improve your well-being during toxicosis?

A few more methods to combat toxicosis, which will help you to eliminate all the severity of the manifestations:

    Drink more

If you drink a glass of water immediately after waking up in the morning, it will save you from nausea for at least the first half of the day. Drink during the day those drinks that you like - mineral water, juices, green tea, juice. Even if a pregnant woman has edema, the amount of fluid should not be less than 2-2.5 liters per day.

    Less sharp movements

The actions and movements of the future mother should become calm and smooth as possible from the time she clarifies her position. No sudden getting out of bed! Make it a rule to “fly”, do not hurry anywhere, and your health will be at the highest level.

    Long rest and sleep

Daily night sleep should be at least 8-10 hours. For working pregnant women, this can only mean one thing - go to bed early in order to gain strength by the next morning. During the day, every couple of hours, arrange a 5-minute rest, especially if the work involves being at a computer in the office.

    Normalization of power

For the sake of their own health is to attend to nutrition. Fermented milk products (yogurt, kefir, cheese, cottage cheese), red meat, fish, fresh fruits, fiber-rich vegetables will cover the daily need for calories and healthy substances, thereby reinforcing the body's forces.

How to survive toxicosis - life hacking from mom:

Prevention of toxicosis in the future mother

In order to minimize the risk of toxicity, or even avoid it at all, even at the stage of preparation for pregnancy, try to attend to your own health, adhere to the right lifestyle and get rid of bad habits.

What can be done to prevent the occurrence of toxemia:

    • alcohol, cigarettes, fast food should disappear from the life of the future mother for at least 9 months,
    • Down with everything that causes strong odors - household chemicals, perfumes, even your favorite coffee beans can wait a couple of trimesters for the benefit of well-being,
    • overwork is the enemy of women's health, especially during pregnancy. In the first place are healthy sleep, daily walks in the fresh air, quiet pastime with family. Strengthen physical and moral balance during pregnancy, try to relax more, think about pleasant things,
    • Avoid stuffy public transport during rush hour - it is better to once again organize a walk,
    • fractional nutrition in early toxicosis can reduce all unpleasant symptoms. Meals once every two hours reduce the appearance of nausea, as well as a small portion is digested easily, eliminating heartburn. With full, but fractional nutrition during pregnancy there will be no problems with being overweight,
    • The mint component is one of the most effective and proven remedies for nausea. Fresh mint leaves can be brewed in tea, or just chew at the moment of feeling unwell. Save the situation and candy with mint without sugar, but the mint chewing gum is better to postpone - it provokes salivation and can cause a spasm in the stomach,
    • multivitamins with a high content of selenium also have a healing effect in case of toxicosis. The necessary complex of minerals, vitamins and trace elements with regular use will reduce the manifestations of toxicosis to a minimum.

What is toxicosis, its symptoms and signs

In the early stages of toxicosis is considered the physiological state of a pregnant woman. It can occur in milder or more severe forms.

If a pregnant woman has a mild form of such a complication, then she has a nausea attack several times a day, there can be weakness or dizziness, increased salivation, irritability, loss of appetite and occasionally vomiting. Whereas with severe forms a woman vomits constantly, food is poorly perceived. This condition can be caused by both an increase in the sensitivity of smell, and an increase in the sensitivity of taste buds. In other words, a pregnant woman can react with vomiting not only on the smell, but also on the taste of the cooked dish.

The exact cause of this condition is unknown, but there are a number of assumptions. Let's look at some of them:

    • At the time of the implantation of the embryo, the body perceives it as a foreign body. Accordingly, the immune system tries to protect us, and therefore it reacts in this way to the processes occurring in the body.
    • It is also worth mentioning the psychological side of the manifestation of this condition. Obstetricians marked this trend. Pregnant women who are in a more relaxed and relaxed state, do not experience additional stress and work in a free mode, can tolerate toxicosis much easier or it does not manifest at all. What can not be said about women who are forced to go to work every day, do hard mental work and face a certain amount of stressful situations every day.

    • The main hormone that is responsible for the entire pregnancy, progesterone, relaxes not only the walls of the uterus, but also the vessels, the walls of the intestines. Due to the fact that the muscles of blood vessels are relaxed, blood pressure may decrease. And this leads to dizziness, nausea, drowsiness and lethargy. In addition, the relaxation of the stomach entails a slower digestion of food. Accordingly, heartburn, nausea, unpleasant taste in the mouth may occur. Relaxed intestines entail constipation, gas, lack of appetite. The way out of this situation may be an increase in the amount of plant fiber in the diet.
    • Slagging of the body toxins.
    • An overabundance in the body of a pregnant woman's hormone HCG.

What week of pregnancy begins and when is toxicosis

Typically, toxicosis begins at 5-6 weeks and lasts until 12-18 weeks of pregnancy., that is, the end of the first trimester, since it is by this time that the placenta forms and takes over all the major hormonal changes. But there are other situations where this condition persists throughout the half of the pregnancy.

Dangerous effects of toxicosis during pregnancy

It is worth noting that in 90% of the detection of a complex degree of toxicosis, it can be cured in early pregnancy.. But at the same time, one should not neglect such a state, since not provided during medical care can lead to irreversible consequences:

    • The development of emotional distress of the future mother, which can persist as much as 1.5 years after the birth of the baby.
    • Dehydration of the body. The lack of regular intake of micronutrients and vitamins can lead to delays in the development of the fetus.
    • Frequent bouts of vomiting that lead to physical and emotional exhaustion.
    • Inability to take a normal amount of food, which leads to significant weight loss. In addition, this process entails a process of accumulation of toxins in the blood or urine.
    • Violation of the liver, kidneys, nervous system.
    • Intoxication of the body.

In what cases it is necessary to urgently consult a doctor

Most often, early toxicosis does not require treatment and passes on its own, but there is a case when consulting a doctor is necessary. For example, at the moment when a pregnant woman experiences severe malaise, dizziness and general weakness, she cannot eat food and vomits her more than 2–3 times a day, in which case consultation with a doctor is necessary.

How to deal with toxicosis in pregnancy in the early stages

Toxicosis requires medical treatment only in the most severe cases. But what should future moms do, will it really have to wait and suffer so much while it passes by itself? Actually, not necessarily. There are a number of folk wisdom, some of them even used our grandmothers. So why not help yourself and not relieve these unpleasant feelings.

    • In order to extinguish the growing nausea, you can freeze the water mixed with lemon juice. At the time of the attack, swallow one cube.

    • If your body shows a reaction to a product or toothpaste in this way, then you should temporarily exclude them from life or replace them with others.
    • As soon as you feel nausea, take a slice of lemon or orange in your mouth. Sour helps to smooth out the manifestations of nausea.
    • Helps to reduce nausea cool tea with the addition of honey and ginger or lemon wedges.
    • If your sense of smell has worsened and this causes nausea, carry a small bottle of citrus essential oil or orange peel with you.

    • When nausea approaches, place a thin slice of ginger under the tongue.
    • You can also try to apply a point massage on yourself. Press the thumb of the right hand to the middle of the left palm and massage this point, rising higher to the junction of the phalanx and metacarpal bones.

Video about how the week begins and when the toxicosis during pregnancy ends

I invite you to watch an interesting video of the obstetrician about how long the toxicosis in pregnant women begins, how it is easier to survive. In addition, she will tell you the main ways to prevent this condition and the causes.

I want to briefly tell you about what constitutes preparation for pregnancy. Ideally, you should establish a correct lifestyle, which excludes excessive alcohol consumption, smoking. In addition, if you do not have well-formed biorhythms, this should also be corrected.

During the preparation and the pregnancy itself discos and festivities should be a thing of the past. During preparation for pregnancy, it is necessary to pass a general blood test, as well as the presence of necessary trace elements and vitamins in the blood. Such studies will help you include in your diet those foods that contain the necessary for you microelements. In addition, during the first trimester, women may experience apathy for food. In this case, pre-made tests will help protect your baby from a lack of certain vitamins.

The first trimester is the period from the 1st week of pregnancy to the 14th. This is the most important and difficult stage in all pregnancy.. Since the hormonal storm that occurs in the body of a woman, exhausting it both emotionally and physically. In addition, during this period, most women suffer from toxicosis. Of course, each pregnancy and baby are individual, so you should tune yourself only for the most positive result. And we all know that thoughts are material.
